Mostly excellent food here. Had one bad lunch where we were not impressed with the food taste on a few items. Off day? The other dozen visits food was excellent!
Recommend the feta and spinach frittata! The included fruit tidbits are typically really fresh and tasty too.
Service is good, friendly and fairly quick food delivery.
I am not affilited with this resturant in any way.

great service, been several times even on fridays when they are extremely busy with dining and take out we still get the great halibut which they are known for.
have been going since 1987 and still appreciate that they hand cut fillets of halibut daily. servers are friendly , not a large wine list but have by the glass at very reasonable prices. very happy with the family fish and chip business which started in toronto in the early 50s. note all salads homemade

Sorry to hear about you coat!! We take that very seriously at Franks. We have in the past taken calls and always have dealt with our customers in a very professional manner. I would advise to all bar partrons not to coat check an expensive coat. As far as food goes in Franks, yes I would agree that the food has not been 5 star but just recently we have brought on a new menu and we believe that the food has improved dramtically. People don't expect fine dinning this is a bar. Furthermore we have been around for 9 years and our kitchen is open till 2am. We do have a limited menu from 11pm to 2am. It is my mandate to improve the overall expereince at Franks!! This does include Food!! We hope people will give us another try!! Our atmosphere, service, and live music is always on the ball.

This place is awesome!!! The restaurant is small but cozy. There was only 1 woman running the show up front and it got quite crowded by late afternoon, but I was impressed by her level of service.
We had the mango salad which was bursting with flavor and very originally put together. Even my wife agreed it was deserving of 5 stars. I also love the fresh (not fried) spring rolls w/ peanut sauce.
Pad thai came next and that was good as well.
Finally, we had chicken Panag curry which was served with a side of rice. Also a winner.

I have been to Golden Basil twice in the last month...both times I had very enjoyable meals..maybe not the best Thai food that I've ever had but certainly adequate. Actually, more than adequate. Portion size is generous...food is tasty, service both times was prompt and efficent...atmosphere leaves a little to be desired..but this is a great place for a quick lunch. I would recommend.

I've been here before and I'll be back again. I had the pollack with fries and I think it might be the best fish I ever had and the fries are excellent. I had the three piece and it was way too much to eat at once.They've done some renovations since I was there last too.

This is the closest Brampton will get to having a little taste of Britain. It is the best fish and chip I have had since back home. The cod light batter and chip are to die for. Their chicken pot pies and chip are also a good bet for those who don't like fish. The breaded chicken strips are amazing as well, you can get alone with chips or in a wrap.
The menu is very extensive for a fish and chip place. Beats Heritage Fish and Chip by far. Gott's the fish is fresh, bigger and more value for your $$$.
The service is good, the employees know their stuff and make recommendations if you are not sure.
I have been many many many times and the service and the food is always the same - really good!
MUST TRY! Corner of Queen and McLaughlin right beside the Service Canada office.....
