As an avid traveler, I have tried sushi in many states: California, Arizona, Florida, Maine, Nevada ... Nothing compares to Mitsui sushi. My boyfriend and I are always excited to get home and go to "our" place. The food is always fresh and consistent. The atmosphere could be improved but let's be honest, you're not going there for the ambiance. The food is so delicious you're not even paying attention to your suroundings. Here is my unbiased unpaid for review after visiting the restaurant last night. This is a high quality, high end buffet. Where other buffets people eat at and do not complain because a lower food quality is expected for buffet this restaurant surpassed all my expectations. I visit this place every week at least once. The food is great. For a chinese place the prices are considered to be mid to high, however, the quality and service make up for it. But if you are used to eating at western family type restaurants, like baton rouge, alice fuzili, jack astors, etc. This place is a real bargain. Their dim sum is great too, one of the best finds in Richmond Hill. Most of the bargain chinese restaurants tend to offer food that are on the rustic side. This is refined cantonese dining, but this aspect may be lost on many westerners who are used to the China Town grub, and may not have the same discerning palate. Nonetheless, eating there will definitely improve your palate, and you will wonder how a place like the keg, shoeless joe and other similar places can charge $30 per person for the food they serve, and still be considered to be moderately priced. This review is way past due; I've been coming here frequently for over 5 years now for no reason other than it is FANTASTIC. The master chef and his wife are such lovely people who's efforts and dedication to the restaurant really have a great influence on the atmosphere. Did I mention that the food is amazing? The rolls are made fresh and just simply really well. I love the design of the seating area and how the booths are separated it really gives a cozy feel to the place.
