My 5 star rating is for the food and service. Romero's isn't a fancy place but the food is delicious Authentic Italian made from scratch. Great value for a delicious meal. The service is excellent too. You may need to request your red wine be chilled for a few minutes. It was a warmer than ideal temp. Lire plus

I plugged in "diner" in YP search, because i wanted something quick an basic. Red House popped up, and I am so glad that it did! I was pricier than a diner but that was fine with me. It was reasonably priced and the quality of food makes it worth it! Service was excellent as well. I came for lunch (table for 1) but will definitely be back... This place has since moved to 86 Dalhousie Street and has been renamed 'Pantry Cafe'. I had seen this place multiple times and decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! The place is really big, with ample room for moving and sitting. When you first walk in, there are really comfortable couches, with newspapers available, it is a great lounging area! The tables are cute and are far away from each other to allow for some privacy when dining. The menu selection is great! There are tons of items to choose from, and everything is made fresh.They have everything from omelettes to sandwiches to coffee and ice cream. I chose the chicken bruschetta panini with ceasar salad. The cost isn't too bad, only about $10, but it was well-worth it! I sat down and had to wait, maybe about 8 minutes, and the dish came. The server apologized as she had forgotten that they didn't have any croutons for my salad, so she gave me extra bacon, what a great touch! The bacon was good too, it wasn't that processed stuff, it was actually real bacon. The sandwich was AMAZING! It had cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto sauce, and mayonnaise; the chicken was nice and moist, it was hot (temperature wise) and crunchy. The service is amazing as well, all of the people who work there are friendly and kind. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you all try this place, you won't be disappointed! Lire plus

I've visited this little sub and ice cream shop many times and it always has me feeling very satisfied, and warm inside cause I was able to help out a small mom and pop shop. The man working here, whom I've yet to get his name is a vibrant heat warming fella'. Very friendly, makes you feel like a regular. The food, great! I can't believe anyone would rate this place poorly, for what it is its FANTASTIC. I've tried almost all the subs on the menu, my most recent visit I got the rib sub for myself, loaded it up with all the toppings, made a huge mess eating it and loved every minute of it. Its places and eats like this that make life all worth while, yes its a big statement I know but its truly a gem. Something has to be done right to get consistent high ratings. I was shocked to see someone write a poor review on this place knowing full well what they were getting into. These are the comfort foods that are hard to come by in this day and age with big franchised companies saturating the industry. From street meat to racks of lamb, I've had it all and this place gets my approval! I will be coming back and I'm bringing a crowd. Wheres Anthony Bourdain when you need him? p.s. Had the Jacs sub for dinner last night. The Jalapeno cheese bread is Fantastic, there was lots of meat and tasted very fresh. Toppings and sauces were all free and they have a grill which I prefer over just toasting. Great staff and the new owner is very friendly. Will be back again to try the shack. Lire plus
