Every weekend we take the kids out for a meal at McDonald’s in Aylmer Ontario to give us a break from cooking. They are always very pleasant, friendly, and quick. We placed an order in the drive through and it turned out to be wrong. We went in to get what we were missing and the staff was amazing! Great meals. Food was all fresh and high quality. Eggs to order, breakfast meats tasty, coffee is good and ample. Not much atmosphere except for the working class people, mostly men before work or lunch break. Everyone seemed very at ease and unpretentious including the staff who were eager to please. My husband and I dined at La Casa on Saturday night. We started with Mussels for appetizer - delicious...I wanted to drink the sauce it was so good. We also shared a Ceasar Salad. The dressing was very nice, perhaps a bit too much garlic (a little too overwhelming). Still tasty though. I ordered lobster pasta, all I can say is DELICIOUS! So tasty. I brought some home and was looking forward to eating it again the next day for lunch. My husband ordered beef tenderloin. Again, delicious! Tender, perfectly cooked and tasty. The waiter was very professional and friendly. We had a great time and a fantastic meal. No wonder La Casa is still one of the best restaurant's in London. It's so nice to go out for dinner and receive a great meal. The meals are not pretentious or overpriced (unlike other London restaurants in the downtown area). The food is simply delicious. After years of eating at Under the Volcano we had another great meal once again. The margaritas are always good,as well as the chips and salsa before the meal. I tend to stick with the spicy foods whereas my wife prefers it relatively mild. My wife had the beef burrito and I the blackened chicken chimichanga (made extra hot). The desserts are fantastic but my favorite has to be the deep fried ice cream. The new location is still being settled into it seems but I'm looking forward to seeing it all finished. Lire plus
