It’s a hard decision when placing a loved one in LTC facility. Main St Terrace is an old building, but what they lack in aesthetics they make up for with incredible staff. . I am astounded as to how well my mom is doing there. She’s happy, benefits from the interaction, she’s safe. With my mom’s dementia there is no way I could provide the same level of care, meals, hygiene, nursing, dr visits, physiotherapist, sensory games, outings, health, safety & security. My mom and dad have recently been admitted into the Heritage Nursing Home in Toronto. Although my parents have never ever lived in a home other than their own, they settled down very quickly. They were made so welcome and all their needs were attended to quickly and sensitively. My father had been to a hospital for a very serious treatment and he and my mother were admitted straight from the hospital to the home. As with all elderly couples, my parents had their individualism, but all their whims were attended to with care. They are now very happy with their new home and I and the rest of the siblings are so relieved and happy. Lire plus

For the better part of 95% the staff are very good and very professional. The home I'm in is exceptionally well run however my fear that the house is currently under staff and the work load for one person is too much. There a select few that are willing to help out but for the 13 residence in the home only 4months of us help regularly. I would be more than willing to give those names to the owners but for the privacy of the residences I'm not willing to do so on an open forum. Lire plus
