This is a hidden gem over near the airport on Matheson. A friend of mine works in the area and he suggested it for a Saturday night dinner. We had a great time as the food was hot, fresh, and tasted great, plus the service was very professional. I like places where they have a pride of ownership and this is one where the owners are active in the business, the chef came from the kitchen to check on our meal, and they genuinely appreciated our business. We couldn't have asked for more. This place is now on our regular circuit of places to dine for lunch and dinner,

To be honest, I don't think I have anything really negative to say about this restaurant. We visited for lunch on a Sunday, and were the first people in the restaurant. As a party of seven, we were seated at an assembled table right by the bar near the front of the restaurant.
From what I can recall, we ordered the Manchurian Chicken, Chili Chicken (dry), mixed vegetables, butter chicken, and chicken chow mein - looking back, yes that was a lot of chicken - and it was all rather delicious.

Bamiyan Kabab is the best restaurant I have ever been to! The only thing they need to do is add more space, so people can sit down and relax without having to rush out. Their food has a very nice touch of spice and their menu is okay because it was made out of paper. This place is really good for dinner but less for lunch and breakfast. Therefore I would recommend this restaurant.

We had chef's special sushi and sashimi plate, caterpillar roll, bibimbab. Everything was fresh, nicely presented. I had thick and fresh cuts of tuna, yellow tail, unagi, and even ikura sushi in the sushi plate, it was a nice selection of nigiri sushi. Caterpillar roll was bigger than I thought, and it came with miso soup and salad. One of my Japanese friend ordered bibimbab, and I didn't know it is served in the heated stone pot, it was very unique. The pot was still hot until we finish our meal!
We spend around $60 for 3, considering it was dinner time, I guess it's reasonable price. Also we were seated in Tatami room which was very nice. It seems great for small party around 6 people.

Every time I am in the area I stop in for Lunch and get a Goat Roti. The Roti itself is great and is alittle on the spicy side. If you wish, you can order a side of hotsauce which has flakes of habenaro in it.
During the lunch hours the place generally has a line going out the door. There are tables for sitting down but not that many.

First time at California sandwich. Place was crazy busy (lunchtime), but they run like a well-oiled machine. The veal sandwich was huge and really, really good. It may be on the pricey side, but they certainly don't skimp on the veal.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Ample parking space and seating available. Very, very clean restaurant and the food was extremely fresh.
Owners are very humble people and the prices are cheap for Afghani restaurant.
We ordered chicken kofta kabab, Bakhtar Kabab, Half Chicken BBQ, and Afghani Pulao. All things were very flavorful and nice and came with Afghan style rice and Afghan salad. Definitely looking forward to my next trip there.

Now, their sushi is not the best BUT it's always fresh, on time and at very competitive prices. I'm pretty certain that quality of their sushi vs other places in the 10-15 mile radious is better , so don't bother looking around just order pick up/carry out.
