We have visited many Italian reataurants throughout Ontario from Brockville to Niagara Falls, Oshawa to North Bay and Avanti's in Oshawa is number one. Not because we live here, because of the food, the service, the friendly atmosphere and the cleanliness of this establishment. Their Fusilli in Bianco is our favorite. We have dined there many times before Oshawa Generals Hockey games and Shows at the newly renovated Regent Theatre. And we are so proud to mention Avanti's everywhere we go. The food is very good, fresh and definitely homemade. The staff/owners are very friendly and wonderful with kids. Child meals are large enough for 2 kids to share, and come with an ice-cream dessert! Love the bright coloured decor and the ceramic topped tables, very mexican very vibrant, and I really like it when they play mellow mexican music, I can stay all day! I've also been there in the evening for drinks and appetizers out on the patio, it was a very relaxing evening, enjoyed it very much and can't wait to go back when the warm weather returns. Lire plus

Our family goes to this place all the time. We tried other buffet places and the food is not as good as here. I have food sensitivies to avocado and have made requests to make some dishes without it...and they were very accomodating. Maybe we are spoiled since we go there a lot and the owner has become familiar with us....oh well. When you like a place - Im sure you go there often. Yeah....it can get busy there so we know about the slow service at times.....But overall you cannot find a more homey place for sushi in Whitby - IMO. Go for lunch during the weekday and you do get pampered. For lunch I suggest getting the teriyaki stuff since there are NO sashimis. The Oishi Maki roll is really good. Lire plus
